The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Peninsula (UUFP) joined people from all over the world to bring attention to global warming. The plan was to make visual statements that politicians the world over will take notice of. Visit www.350.org to see all that was done. Here is what happened in Newport News, Virginia:

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Peninsula
October 24 at 9AM---peninsula celebration of 350 at the UUFP map
September 30, classes began on "The Low Carbon Diet" or "How to Lose 5,000 pounds in 30 days" Cost:$7 to cover book. Led by Rev. Don Garrett, interim minister for the UUFP. Goal is to lose close to 150,000 pounds of carbon weight by October 24! Kids worked on our 350 banner for October 24!
Late September, classes began for children on Global Warming and things they can do to lower their family's footprint. This included classroom study and hands-on work outside building a compost pile. October 24, the big day! The kids chalked 3 5 0 on the sidewalk
