Some questions you may have.

  • What should I and my children wear to this church?

Comfortable is the word! We don't dress to impress, so be comfortable. Some folks wear jeans and others wear "business casual."

  • Is there childcare/Sunday School during church?

Absolutely! We have a wonderful "Sunday School" program for all ages. We have a place for those very small ones on up! We call it Religious Education, because we teach them so much about the world that they live in.

  • If my child doesn't separate well, can she or he stay with me in the service?

Of course! Frequently, the new kids are a little scared to go to RE by themselves, so feel free to take them back there and stay until they make friends (usually about 5 minutes) or keep them in the sanctuary through the whole service. There is a major focus on kids at this church, so they are welcomed everywhere!

  • Are there any [insert race] people in this congregation?

You will find a variety of folks at this church! Skin colors make us interesting! Whatever your skin color, you won't be the first and you won't stick out!

  • Are people who are liberal or conservative welcome in this congregation?

Of course! We tend toward the "liberal" side politically, but have plenty of conservatives, too.

  • Are there bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender people in this congregation? Are they welcome?

In case you missed it, we tend to be liberal! We welcome bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender people. You will be treated equally and always with respect!

  • Are there people in the congregation who believe [insert belief here]?

Probably. We are full of Humanists, Pagans, Christians, Deists, Atheists, etc.

What goes on during the worship services?

  • Hmmm... usually, we start of with some music, followed by a 'welcome' from one of our members. The majority of our sermons are conducted by our minister.
