What to expect

What can you expect?

A comfortable atmosphere where you'll find many people happy to see each other with a flurry of conversations.  You'll be greeted at the door and, if you wish,  you may  fill out a name tag and sign our guest book to receive upcoming newsletters.

What time?

We offer two services. The first begins at 9:30 and the second at 11:00. In between, starting at 10:30 is our "coffee hour." Light snacks and plenty of coffee and conversation. Be sure and get there for the coffee hour as it gives us a chance to meet you and the other way around!

Have fun!  Make new friends.  Our Sunday Programs are as varied as our members, we'll have a guide to the day's program or you can check our upcoming Sunday programs and our calendar.

A typical service goes something like this:

  • Welcome and Announcements
  • Visitors are welcomed to introduce themselves if they wish
  • A lighting of the chalice which signifies the beginning of the service
  • Joys and concerns, where some will share milestones in their individual lives
  • We'll sing a hymn
  • Children's Focus
  • Offering
  • Sermon
  • We'll sing another Hymn
  • Extinguish the chalice and have closing words

Do you have children?

Great!  The more the merrier!  Children under three may wish to be taken to our staffed nursery for supervised play and snacks in a loving atmosphere.  You are more than welcome to stay with your child until he/she becomes more comfortable with the surroundings.

Older children will want to be a part of "Children's Focus" during the first fifteen minutes of the service.  They get treated to a special story, which usually ties into that day's program. Truthfully, the adults enjoy this as much as the kids!  At the end of the "Children's Focus" we sing, "Go Now in Peace" as they are led to their Religious Education.
