Welcome!

From Our Minister  Andrew Clive Millard

Greetings, and welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Peninsula!  Let me take this opportunity to tell you something about what you might find here...

If you’re looking for a supportive community that will travel with you on the journey of exploration called ‘Life’, this might be the place.  If you’re a religious seeker in need of comfort or challenge from companions who will laugh with you and cry with you, this might be the place.  Whether you want to feed a spiritual hunger or offer the bounty of your grace-filled life to others, this might be the place.  If you want to grow in all the many meanings of that word, learning with children, youth and adults, stretching yourself intellectually, emotionally or spiritually, this might be the place.  (Physical stretching may be found courtesy of pick-up softball, and this might be the place for that, too!)

If you’re engaged in a daily search for truth and meaning, creatively holding the tension of being an individual shaped by and in turn shaping a human community, this might be the place.  If you love to laugh, enjoy cooking, have a passion for composing music, writing poetry or creating art that touches the heart, mind and soul, this might be the place.  If you find in yourself a deep need to be a part of a true multi-generational community that lifts up its shared values despite the inevitable inter-personal differences, this might be the place.  If you’re looking for such a community, a congregation with a big heart and a lot of common sense, a fellowship yearning to live the fuller promise of a truly inclusive covenant, this might be the place.  And if you want to work within and beyond that community to promote respect and justice for all, working for peace and liberty and honoring the interdependent web of all existence, this might be the place.

I invite you to continue your exploration of the Fellowship’s Web site, where there’s a wealth of information about who and what we are.  I also hope you’ll visit us one Sunday, or give us a call if you’d like to talk first.  Either way, let’s find out together if this might be the place for you!

Yours, in faith,

Andrew Clive Millard
