Meets: Regularly on the 3rd Tuesday of each month; in April meeting date will change to 3rd Thursday.

 

Purpose:  Recruit, integrate and retain members

Ongoing Membership Committee Activities: 

·         Greeters scheduled and trained

·         Monthly Young Adult activities planned

·         Newcomer dinners held throughout the year to integrate new members and visitors

·         Visitor letters sent each week to previous Sunday’s visitors

·         New member letters sent with link to by-laws, newly printed directory and list of suggestions for getting the most out of membership

·         UUA brochures stocked and handed out to visitors

·         Updated membership directory sent to members throughout year

·         UUA notified of membership changes for World subscriptions; membership total sent to UUA for certification by Feb. 1st

·         Nametags printed for regular visitors; engraved nametags ordered for new members (and older members who request and pay for them); new members receive special nametag with “new member” designation.

·         Member profiles, birthdays, attendance, and member news printed in the Flame.

·         Three UU Orientation Classes

o   September (12 attended; 4 joined),

o   January (9 attended; 4 joined)

o    April (to be held)

·         3 new member recognition services (July, January, June) including short bios of new members for Order of Service; 2 follow-up sessions for additional questions held

·         Coordination of Hearing Assistance appliances

·         Coordinated Sunday program Dec. 30, “Everyone’s Birthday Party”

·         Planned Committee Fair Day to advertise what committees do and to recruit committee members

·         Contacted members and friends not seen for a while

·         Outreach to CNU students

·         Thanksgiving Day pot-luck dinner coordinated; Sunday after refreshments of T-Day leftovers coordinated.  Hospitality schedule coordinated as a sub-committee effort

·         “Guess the Baby” picture contest instituted for the Flame

·         Maintains database of members, friends and visitors
